Want to have a say on how the City of Spokane Valley develops it’s transportation system, parks, and services over the next twenty years? Spokane Valley is updating its Comprehensive Plan, a long-range 20-year plan
that guides development of the city, and needs your input.

Spokane Valley originally developed its
Comp Plan in 2006 so an update is due. The plan captures the
community’s vision for the future and provides direction for city growth,
regulations and investments.

Two community visioning meetings are scheduled for next week. City staff will guide participants through exercises to identify and describe preferences and goals for community character, housing, economic opportunities, natural environment, transportation, and other aspects for the future growth of Spokane Valley.

If you live in Spokane Valley, or shop or recreate there, please attend one of these meetings. It’s easy to complain about things, but being part of the process to improve it is more effective. The meetings are Wednesday, January 28 at 6 p.m. at CenterPlace Regional Event Center (2426 North Discovery Place), and
Thursday, January 29 at 7:30 a.m.,  also at CenterPlace Regional Event Center.

The current Spokane Valley Comprehensive Plan is available online at www.spokanevalley.org by selecting the
“Municipal Code” link from the home page.
