US 195/Cheney-Spokane Road Interchange- Asphalt paving is underway on the new on/off ramps. The southbound off-ramp is
closed and drivers need to use the southbound right-turn into Cheney-Spokane
Road.  No work on the main highway lanes. Be alert for slow traffic entering the highway left lane
from Cheney-Spokane Road.  The dedicated northbound acceleration lane has
been removed.  The northbound left turn lane remains closed and is
signed for no left turns.  US 195 northbound drivers must use Qualchan
Road to access Cheney-Spokane Road. 
North Spokane Corridor/Francis Avenue Bridge and
Intersection Improvements- 
The dedicated right turn lane for southbound traffic on Freya Street is closed to construct
the new roadway at the northwest corner. The right turn onto westbound Francis Avenue has to be done
from the through lane.
This traffic configuration has been extended through May 7th,
and will be restored once paving is completed. On
the night of Wednesday May 7th from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following
morning, southbound Freya Street traffic will be redirected onto the new
asphalt while the signal loops in the left-turn and through lanes are replaced.
Expect congestion.

US 2/Espanola Road to Interstate 90- Beginning Monday, May 5, be alert for excavation work at the intersection of Flint Road and
Espanola Road. Crews will be resurfacing the highway and installing a signal system. Flaggers will be directing single-lane, alternating traffic in the vicinity of
Espanola Road. This is daytime work. Beginning on Monday, May 12, work
shifts to evening and overnight hours.
US 2/Flint Road Intersection- On Sunday, May 4, be alert for intermittent stopped traffic.  Flaggers will
be directing traffic at the intersection so Avista crews can relocate overhead power lines.


Avenue, just east and west of Carnahan Road-
Reduced to one lane
each direction at times from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday, May 5 until
Wednesday, May 7 for paving. 


·     Francis Ave. Division to Crestline- This
project will rehabilitate Francis Avenue from Division to Crestline
Streets.  The work is curb to curb and includes installation of ADA curb
ramps, where needed. Traffic is
open on the south side of Francis with one lane in each direction.  

Francis and Freya Signal Work- A
signal removal and replacement is underway at the Francis/Freya intersection
with construction continuing for approximately one month. The dedicated right
turn lane is closed for southbound traffic on Freya Street in order to
construct the new roadway at the northwest corner. The right turn onto westbound Francis
Avenue will be routed from the through lane. This traffic configuration will remain in place
for approximately 1 month or until paving is complete. 

Regal St. and Palouse Hwy. Work- The construction of Privately
Driven Improvements at Regal and Palouse Intersection is in full swing. A temporary roadway is in place for Regal Street for northbound and
southbound traffic. There is no direct access to Palouse Highway. Palouse Highway is closed to
all traffic just east of Regal Street and has no direct access to Regal
Street.  All local businesses are open.  The contractor will maintain
existing access to Palouse Highway between Regal and Freya Street.  All Palouse
thru traffic will be re-routed to a detour. The highway is expected to be re-opened by May 28.

      Riverside Ave. Lane Closure- The westbound outside curb lane on West
Riverside Ave. just West of Stevens St. will be closed Thursday,
May 5, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to make room for a large crane at  508
W. Riverside Ave.

·      Indiana Ave. Lane Closure- The eastbound and westbound lane at the West 600
block of Indiana Ave. will be closed Tuesday, May 6 through Thursday, May 8 for a private water tap at 624 W Indiana Ave.

     Bloomsday Road Closures- 

o   Riverside
from Post to Lincoln Street will close starting at 4:30 a.m.
o   Monroe
Street Bridge Closes at 5:30 a.m.
o   Most
of Downtown Closes between 6:30 and 7 a.m.
o   The
entire route is closed by 8:15 a.m.
o   The
roadways will be opened as soon as possible after cleanup
o   Most
of downtown will reopen around noon.
o   The
entire route should be open near 2 p.m.

No parking allowed at bagged
meters or no parking signs along the course. Vehicles will be towed
starting at 4:30 a.m.
