Citizensare invited to join in a celebration of newly redesigned Main Avenue on Friday,
Nov. 4. Businesses adjacent to the project will be having specials as well.
The
celebration will begin with a noon ceremony on the south sidewalk between
Division and Browne streets, and then people are encouraged to visit
businesses, have lunch, and enter to win a variety of raffle prizes.

summer, Main Avenue from east of Browne to west of Division got a unique new
look, that’s designed to enhance the business environment, improve the
pedestrian experience, and make it easier to park.

distinctive is the addition of center-lane angle parking and a mid-block
pedestrian crossing on the block of Main from Browne to Division. In all, the
project has provided 21 new auto and eight motorcycle parking spots. New
landscaping, safer pedestrians crossing areas, and pay-by-plate parking kiosks
are also part of enhanced streetscape.
