Parkway from Desmet Court to Steen Parkway
– Closed until Thursday, June 16 for
utility work. Signs redirect traffic via Mission Parkway.

Southbound Sullivan Road Bridge across the
Spokane River-
Closed for bridge replacement work. Traffic is reduced to one lane northbound and two lanes southbound.  Northbound traffic is
restricted to vehicles ten feet wide or less. Turns from Indiana
Avenue onto northbound Sullivan Road are reduced to one lane. The Centennial
Trail below the bridge is open.


US 2-Division Street Northbound/Sign Installation- On Monday
June 6 and Tuesday June 7, from 9 a.m. until as late as 3 p.m., northbound
drivers should be alert for right lane restrictions with possible congestion on
Division Street in the vicinity of the Spokane River as crews install signs.

Seven Mile Bridge– Demolition of this bridge over Coulee Creek starts this afternoon or early tomorrow. 
There is a detour at the project to get traffic through the area.  The
speed has been reduced to 25 mph. 
·        Hawthorne from Waikiki to US395 in front of Whitworth College– Crews next week will be surveying, cutting and preparing for traffic control measures. This will mostly be shoulder work with some minor disruption to traffic. This
section of roadway will be CLOSED on June 15th until August 31st.

Market Street from Parksmith to Farwell- Road closed with a detour in place to install sewer and fiber optic components and rehabilitate the roadway.


2016 Street Maintenance Curb Ramp Project- Work continues on Lyons Avenue from Perry St. to Pittsburg
Street to install ADA compliant curb ramps at each corner
Ben Burr Trail and Connection to the Centennial Trail- This project begins Monday, June 6 to construct a shared use paved trail
connection for bicyclists and pedestrian as well as security lighting
installation. It will go from the Centennial Trail at the
Gonzaga Bridge southeast of Erie Street to Liberty Park where a
connection will be made to the existing Ben Burr Trail.  The trail will
then continue on the existing Ben Burr Trail to the trailhead immediately south
of Underhill Park.
Bridge Avenue and Monroe Street CSO Work- Summit Blvd./Bridge Ave. is closed to traffic. 
blasting continues and will be ongoing for the next two
to four weeks. Cars and pedestrians will
be stopped from entering near the excavation location for up to 10
minutes. Traffic control will be on hand. Summit Parkway/Bridge Avenue is closed. Lincoln has one northbound
lane open.  Lincoln southbound is closed at Broadway with local access
maintained to Anthony’s restaurant and parking lots. This
project will construct a Combined Sewer Overflow Tank (CSO) tank and the
necessary piping for our Cleaner River Faster Program.
Hayford Road Grind and Overlay- Crews are grinding and paving Hayford Road from 49th Avenue to north of Thorpe Road. There are sharp edges and uneven
surfaces so proceed slowly and cautiously. Hayford is closed with a
detour in place. 
Hazels Creek Stormwater Treatment Project-This
project is located southeast of 37th Avenue and Rebecca Street to construct a stormwater treatment system with disposal ponds and stormwater
Indiana Avenue from Dakota to Perry- Pre-construction work is underway. Indiana will have temporary closures at times with a detour route during this
scheduled work. This
project will include curb ramps, storm swales, new curb, waterline replacement,
signal installation work and some parking removal.
Main Avenue and Division Street Intersection Improvements- This project begins Monday, June 6 with an anticipated
completion date at the end of August. Throughout the project there will be lane restrictions on both
Main and Division.  Traffic control will be in place. Work on this project involves curb bumpouts at all four corners
of Division Street and Main Avenue, the removal and replacement of existing
curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, ADA upgrades, installation of planter boxes and
Monroe/Lincoln Street Couplet, 8th
Avenue TO 2nd Avenue- 
This project reconstructs the roadway from 8th to 2nd Avenue and installs storm water and water facilities. Monroe Street is closed to traffic. The
on ramp for eastbound traffic at Monroe is open. Drivers are able to detour from Monroe southbound to 4th
Avenue eastbound to access Lincoln Street.  4th Ave westbound
from Monroe to Jefferson Street is closed. Traffic exiting Maple Street eastbound
is detoured off of 4th at Jefferson Street. The alternative route during the
Lincoln Monroe Project is the converted two-way traffic on Lincoln. The official detour route is Stevens
and is clearly marked.

Monroe and Lincoln Street, Main Avenue to 2nd Avenue- Monday, June 6, Monroe will be down to one lane for water
infrastructure work at the intersections of Sprague, 1st Avenue and
Riverside. Traffic control is in place. This work will last approximately two weeks. This is a full depth roadway replacement; Main
Avenue from Monroe Street to Lincoln Street; and Monroe Street from Spokane
Falls Boulevard to Main Avenue. Some minor curbing and ADA curb ramps will be
installed where necessary.
 Pettet Drive/TJ Meenach Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO 12) Project- Work
is underway and Pettet Drive is closed to traffic. The clover leaf that services TJ
Meenach, Down River and Pettit Drive (three out of the four legs) will be
in service. The leg that comes off of Pettit,
northbound re-directs citizens to Northwest Blvd. Vehicles that are traveling
southbound on Down River Drive can  enter onto TJ Meenach or continue under the bridge and turn
uphill to Northwest Blvd. This
project will build a 690,000 gallon storage facility and connections to
existing CSO Basin 10 outfall.  Work also includes repaving of Pettet
Drive and pedestrian/bike trail construction.
Rowan Avenue Improvements from Driscoll Boulevard to Monroe Street- Phase
II of Rowan from Alberta to Monroe Street is underway. Rowan Avenue from Alberta to Monroe
Street is closed. The
intersection of Alberta, Belt, Ash, and Maple is open to north and
southbound traffic. Ash southbound, and Maple northbound at Rowan are reduced to one lane southbound or northbound respectively. This
project is for reconstruction work from Driscoll Blvd. to Monroe Street. The
project also includes installation of bike lanes, filling sidewalk gaps and
replacing water lines.
