Sullivan Road Bridge Replacement Project Area:
The southbound
Sullivan Road Bridge across the Spokane River is closed until spring 2016 for
bridge demolition and replacement work.
Traffic remains reduced to one lane northbound and two lanes southbound.
Expect reductions to
one lane southbound Tuesday through Friday between 3:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Northbound traffic is
restricted to vehicles ten feet wide or less. Oversized vehicles should
use Barker or Pines as alternatives.
Turns from Indiana
onto northbound Sullivan are reduced to one lane.
Expect construction

The Centennial Trail
below the bridge will be open for the Labor Day holiday weekend, but will be
closed again Tuesday through Friday all hours with signs redirecting trail
users onto surface streets.
The Spokane River
below the bridge will be open for the Labor Day holiday weekend, but will be
closed Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. When closed,
signs and buoys will direct river users out of the river upstream of the
bridge.
SPOKANE CITY
Phase 1 of Ray/Thor Street from 29th Avenue to 3rd Avenue- Work starts Thursday, Sept. 8 to crack seal, grind and overlay and use other pavement rejuvenation techniques on the roadway. Pedestrian improvements include upgrades to ADA curb ramps and minor curb and sidewalk repairs.
Wall Street and Main Avenue Intersection Work- Work continues. Two lanes of Main Street will reopen Friday,
September 4 at the Wall Street intersection.
High Drive and Hatch Road Sewer Overflow Work Continues- 43rd Ave. from Garfield St. to
Perry St. is closed until late September. This project will construct a storage
facility for CSO Basin 20, with connecting piping, interceptor inlet vault,
flush systems, regulator and controls at 43rd Avenue and Garfield
Street. 43rd Avenue from Hatch Road to
Grand Boulevard will reopen Friday, September 11.
Residential Grind and Overlay projects- There
are two residential grind and overlay pavement preservation projects. Work also includes subgrade repair, crack sealing, modifying
ADA ramps, striping and traffic control.

Old Trails/Inland Road from Marchand Rd. to Riverside State Park– Road closed and lane restrictions from Seven Mile Road to the State Park for reconstruction and paving.
Appleway/Spokane Bridge Road Trailhead Parking Lot- Parking lot closed for paving.
Elliot Road Culvert Replacement- Reduced to one lane at SR 206 and Elliot Road with a temporary traffic signal installed while a culvert is replaced.
Babb Road Bridge just south of Cheney Plaza Road- Under construction. Watch for flaggers.
