Unfortunately, some people did, including my neighbor. Drives me crazy every year. He's from upstate New York so prepares for the worst every year. I've pointed out to him numerous times that I have no problem getting around with my all-weather tires but he swears by his studs. It may be time for an intervention…
I challenge Spokane drivers who have never ever driven without studs to get a set of all weather tires next winter and discover that studs really don't make much of a difference.
We could organize some kind of studless driving competition… with a lot of legal disclaimers, of course.
