You’ve heard the old saying ‘You have to spend money to make money?’ Well, that’s kind of what the state is banking on in an effort to bring in federal funds for transportation. The Washington State Department of Transportation is planning to pay a four year $750,000 contract to a lobbyist firm and they’re hoping it will pay off by bringing millions of dollars into the state for transportation infrastructure.
