Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 15, the Washington State Department of Transportation will reduce the speed limit on I-90 between Sprague Lake and the Fishtrap interchange due to weather-related pavement damage. Motorcyclists traveling through the area will need to use extreme caution.
Also, crews will post advanced warning signs and an advisory speed limit of 35 mph across the Brown Road Bridges at milepost 249 due to the conditions on that stretch of road.
The wet weather and existing pavement conditions are hampering temporary repairs efforts. WSDOT crews need dry conditions for patches to bond to the roadway.
A full resurfacing project for this area is scheduled for later this year. The revised speed limit will be in place until that work is complete.
