Governor Chris Gregoire gav her State of the State speech today, in which transportation was a major focus. She emphasized road construction as a job creation strategy, and highway, ferry, and bridge maintenance projects in particular. The Seattle Times sums up her speech.

The NSC
It will never be
So, why keep wasting our billions three?
Yep, just maintenance dollars. Which are important too. Very important. I'll agree to disagree on the NSC but give you bonus points for creativity in your delivery 😉
How about:
I like driving here and there,
Yes, that much is true
When I go over long bridges
I don't want to fall in the soup…
Maintenance… It's what keeps us alive.
