As you’ve no doubt read on this blog recently (repeatedly in fact), there is a very limited amount of money to spend on transportation projects in our area (and pretty much everywhere in the country) in the coming years. So how should we spend it in the short-term?

SRTC has recently completed the draft 2014-2017 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), a document of transportation projects planned to be completed or constructed in the upcoming four years in the Spokane region.

We ask that you review the TIP and the projects in it and let us know if we’re spending money in the right places. It can be found on our website here. Also on the website is information on how to submit comments, the deadline to do so and a public meeting for those who’d like to look at the TIP in person, ask questions or provide their feedback to a live person. That meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 4-6 p.m.  at SRTC, 221 W. First Ave., Suite 310, Spokane, WA 99201.
