SRTC Board of Directors

The responsibility of the Board of Directors is to provide oversight to the activities of the SRTC Executive Director and staff to ensure the agency’s mission, values and goals are fulfilled. SRTC Board of Directors currently has 13 voting members and 3 ex-officio, or non-voting, members. From this group, a five-person Board Administrative Committee is also selected.

The Board of Directors meets the second Thursday of each month at 1:00 pm. For the time being all meetings will be held on a virtual platform. The public is welcome to attend Board meetings and there is an opportunity for public comment. All meeting dates subject to change.


SRTC will hold two special meetings in March 2021. Both meetings will be held by videoconference and there may be a quorum of Board members present. The public may observe the proceedings, but there will no opportunity for verbal public comments.

  • Monday March 1 at 12:00 pm the Board of Directors will convene at 12:00 pm to discuss regional transportation project priorities.
  • Thursday March 4 at 1:30 pm representatives of jurisdictions and agencies which are signatory members of the current SRTC Interlocal Agreement (ILA) will meet to discuss updates to the ILA.

However due to the nature of virtual meetings, at this time all comments must be submitted in advance. SRTC Board Representation

SRTC is governed by the Board which consists of 14 voting members and 3 ex-officio (non-voting) members and membership consists of:

  • One elected official from a small town to represent all jurisdictions with populations fewer than 5,000
  • One elected official from each respective governing body with a population between 50,001 and 100,000
  • One person representing Spokane Transit Authority
  • One representative of the freight/rail industry (ex-officio)
  • One person representing a major regional employer, with a preference for a provider of private sector transportation services
  • One person representing the Washington State Department of Transportation, appointed by the Secretary of Transportation
  • One representative of the Washington State Transportation Commission, appointed by the Chair of the Commission
  • Two elected officials from each respective governing body with a population over 100,001
  • Three elected officials from small towns representing jurisdictions with populations between 50,001 and 100,000
  • Chair of the SRTC Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) (ex-officio)
  • Chair of the SRTC Transportation Technical Committee (TTC) (ex-officio)
