As reported by KREM-2, Larry Frostad of WSDOT Eastern Region announced that by the end of 2019 there will be six on-ramp meters installed to I-90 where it passes the downtown core. This is designed to help reduce congestion and traffic delays during peak drive times. Locations of the ramp meters can be found at: WSDOT Ramp Meters on I-90 in Spokane.
