I’ve had a lot of people mention to me lately that their vehicles have names. My friend Becca’s Durango is ‘Dusty,’ Angela’s Jeep is the ‘Valdez’ (because of how much oil it leaks) and SRTC’s office bike, given to us by the Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) program is named CooTeR. I also happen to know that @Vanillajane who posts on here has a name for each of her many bikes. So I was wondering, have you named your car, bike or other mode of transportation?
What’s Your Car’s/Bike’s Name?

Why do I have this feeling someone is egging me to post, here? 🙂
OK. One of my favorite subjects:
An old green van I used to have that kept breaking down was named, "Lucky."
My old and heavy pink Target mountain bike said plush on it so I named it "Plushy."
I found SUPER SWEET and really nice speed bike holding up a 'free'sign in a bush at a hippy's yard sale. It looked like it needed some love, but that just wasn't the case. I named it "Zombie."
My most recent bike is a black super fast road bike is named, "Lady Vader."
I haven't figured out a name for my portable music device that can be taken on a bike or in a car. It might take a while to name that super sweet box of righteous happiness.
I think I had some role in naming a certain work related bicycle enjoyed by some at SRTC… He He…
That's right @Vanillajane, I completely forgot about our Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) bicycle CooTeR! I'll change the post out front to reflect that.
My bike is super sweet light blue, same color as my living room, (wasn't planned, really!!!) trek pilot and I hadn't even thought about giving it a name until my friend at work asked me about it and was utterly shocked that I hadn't named it. So with her creative help it is now fittingly named the Panko Pilot. =)
Well there's nothing wrong with matching your mode of transportation to other aspects of your life. I call it accesorizing. The graphics on my boat are the same color as my car.
SRCT Staff:
I thought you had a seaplane matching your boat, too.
Times are tight, we had to give up the SRTC sea plane.
