Many people are still not familiar with Metropolitan Planning Organizations like SRTC and often ask me what we do. When I explain that we distribute funds to local transportation programs and projects, work on coordination and collaboration between planning and transportation departments at our partner agencies and our the lead agency for transportation decisions in the area, the next question is usually “But what does SRTC actually do on a daily basis?” Well, a lot of stuff.
