Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency (Spokane Clean Air) is graciously including SRTC in it’s annual “I Love Clean Air Day” educational event at Mobius Science Center this week. If you’ve been planning to check out the Science Center this week, do it between noon and 2 p.m. on May 25 at 331 N. Post St.
The event is aimed at sparking curiosity about Spokane’s air quality through hands-on activities. Children will learn about the many things that can impact Spokane’s air, including:
- Exploring what makes our air dirty.
- Investigating how air quality affects your health with real pig lungs that have been “exposed” to a lifetime of pollution.
- Learning how weather patterns can make our air dirty or clean.
- Identifying how transportation can affect air quality and creating an Undriver’s License.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. General admission for Mobius Science Center and Mobius Children’s Museum is $8 for adults and children aged 1-18, under 12 months old are free. Those prices cover the Science Center activities in addition to the “I love Clean Air Day” activities.
