The SRTC Board is excited to announce the hiring of Sabrina Minshall, AICP, as the new Executive Director of our organization. A national search was conducted to fill the position after the former Director resigned in December to start a business.

Minshall comes to Spokane from the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho, where she served as Director of Planning. She has extensive experience in the transportation and government fields, having also worked for the Ada County Highway District, the City of Nampa and the State of Idaho.

She starts at SRTC on June 1 and is not only excited about the job but also the community.

“I am very excited to join SRTC. I look to continue the tradition of excellence SRTC has established, both with the Board and talented staff,” she said. I will lead the organization to focus on innovative approaches to mobility and performance based planning. Spokane is an amazing and unique place and my family and I are eager to become part of the community. We love the blend of the historical downtown, outdoor recreation opportunities and strong sense of community.”

In addition to her industry experience, Minshall is the current president of the Idaho Chapter of the American Planning Association, and a member of several planning and transportation groups, including the Urban Land Institute, and Advancing Women in Transportation. Minshall is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners the American Planning Association’s professional institute that certifies professional planners in the United States in the field of urban and regional planning.
