The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration this week recognized  state Sen. Mike Padden from Spokane Valley recently with its highest public-service award for his work to end alcohol-related collisions and DUI.

Padden spearheaded the 2013 drive to strengthen Washington’s laws against driving under the influence and has made other anti-drunk driving contributions as well.

The Spokane Valley Herald has the story.
