37th Avenue, Regal to Custer- Work resumed on this project over the weekend. The intersection of 37th and Ray is closed until approximately Sunday, April 9 while crews install water transmission and distribution mains. The intersection of Freya and 37th will close Monday, April 3 through approximately Friday, May 5 to reconstruct the road, replace pavement, curbs sidewalk, bike lanes and stormwater piping.
Adams Street Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) – This project has started. Sprague Avenue between Cedar and Jefferson Street is closed. Cedar and Adams Street are closed between 1st and Sprague Avenue. This phase of the project includes the relocation of utilities before the CSO tank project begins in late April.
I-90 Gateway Project- Starting Monday, April 3 crews will be working on landscaping north of the I-90 on ramp between McCellan and Browne Street. The alley just north of I-90 will be blocked off at McCellan Street. Starting Wednesday, April 5 crews will start landscape work by both the Maple Street I-90 on ramp and off ramp. Pedestrians should expect sidewalk closures along the west side of Maple Street between 4th and 6th Avenue.
Martin Luther Kind Jr. Way Phase 2A, Sherman to Erie Street- Work on this project has restarted. This project will provide traffic an efficient route that eliminates several safety issues and increases capacity into and out of the downtown area. Improvements include a new asphalt pavement street, utility infrastructure, storm drainage improvements, street lighting, street trees, and re-vegetation with native species. In lieu of sidewalks, the project will construct a section of the Ben Burr trail to provide pedestrian circulation.
Sprague Avenue, Helena to Stone- Work on Phase I of this project starts Monday, April 3. Sprague Avenue will be closed between Napa Street and Altamont Street. Work for this project includes a full street reconstruction, partial sidewalk replacement, bumpouts, landscaping, pedestrian lighting, and utility replacement.
