It’s that time again- the time of the month where we add projects to the 2013-2016 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), then ask you if those projects are a good use of our federal dollars.

The TIP is a document that identifies projects proposed to be
constructed or completed during the upcoming four years. The TIP includes
project names and descriptions, the jurisdiction sponsoring them, funding
attached to each project, and where the funding came from (local, state or
federal funds).

This month’s
proposed amendment includes adding the following new projects to the TIP that recently
received federal funds:

City
of Spokane
2013
Downtown Pedestrian Improvements
Addison
and Standard Streets Bicycle and Pedestrian Corridor
Barnes
Road from Phoebe Drive to Strong Road
Video
Detection System Upgrade

Spokane
County
Old
Trails/Inland Road Gravel Road Reconstruction and Paving Project

Spokane
Transit Authority
Community
Colleges of Spokane – Universal Transit Pass Program

Descriptions for the projects proposed to be added to the TIP can be found on the SRTC website at https://www.srtc.org/tip.html. Once on the page, scroll down to the “TIP Amendments” section. There’s info there on how to submit comments as well.
