City of Spokane Valley celebrated the groundbreaking of the Barker Road Grade Separation Project. When complete in 2022, several hours a day of traffic delay due to train moving through the valley will be eliminated. This project will also increase the flow of traffic and safety by building an overpass above the BNSF tracks and a roundabout nearby at the intersection of Trent Avenue and Barker Road.
