A Household Travel Survey is a study where households are asked to create travel diaries about the trips they take. Some of the information they report on includes:
What trips they took
When they took the trip
Who they took the trip with
Why they took the trip (Ex: Work, school, etc.)
The survey also looks at demographics and other important data about household members to analyze a transportation system.
2022 SRTC Household Travel Survey
From February to April 2022, SRTC conducted a study on 3,879 Spokane County residents’ day-to-day travel. Study respondents were randomly selected from all residents in the county and were invited using mailed invitations. Participants shared survey information via online, phone and smart-phone app.
