SPOKANE VALLEY
Euclid Ave. between Tschirley Rd. and Barker Rd.Road/sewer project. Full road closure through the end of September.

Saltese Rd., 16th Ave. to 24th Ave.- Street Preservation Project. Daily road closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through the end of September.

Pines Rd., 32nd Ave to 40th Ave./ 40th Ave. east of Horizon Middle School- Pipe replacement.  Daily road closures from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

WSDOT
US 2/STEP Access Roundabout-West end of Airway Heights- Construct a new roundabout intersection to the west of Craig Road for access to the new STEP casino development and add improvements at the Craig Road intersection. US 2 is now routed through temporary lanes around the work zone. Eastbound traffic is reduced to one lane and westbound traffic continues to have two lanes. The legal speed is 35 MPH.

US 2/Francis Ave to Division Wye Paving- Asphalt paving and sidewalk ADA improvements. Be alert for nightly lane closures and sidewalk restrictions. Daytime lane restrictions occur northbound 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and southbound 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Nighttime lane restrictions occur 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., all directions.

US 2/Deer Road to Colbert Road Paving and turn lane improvements- Asphalt paving and turn lane improvements. Be alert for nighttime lane closures on US 2 and SR 206. Nighttime traffic on US 2 is reduced to one lane in each direction from just South of Deer Rd. to North of Colbert Rd. Westbound traffic on SR 206 near the intersection with US 2 is reduced to one lane.

I-90/Appleway Interchange Bridge- Overhead sign installation. Beginning Sunday evening (Sept. 9) until Thursday morning (Sept. 14) westbound and/or eastbound I-90 will be reduced to one lane at the Appleway Interchange bridge (between Barker road and Liberty Lake) from about 7:30 p.m. to as late as  5:30 a.m.

US 195/Colfax to Spangle-Passing Lanes- Add two passing lane segments, one northbound and one southbound in the vicinity of Steptoe. Be alert for flaggers and pilot cars directing single-lane, alternating traffic at work locations with delays.  Work hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.

SR 290/Mission to Sullivan Road- Asphalt paving and bridge deck repair from about 7 p.m. until as late as 6 a.m., paving and utility adjustments. Expect lane restrictions with slow traffic and possible congestion.

NSC-US 395/Freya Structures- Construct two mainline freeway bridges over Freya Street. Be alert for a night time detour of Freya Street for setting girders from 7p.m. to 3 a.m., Freya Street will be closed between the roundabouts on Freya, and traffic will be detoured to Market Street. This could be extending thru Sept 12th.  Otherwise, be alert for occasional traffic control at the Freya roundabouts.

NSC-US 395/North of Spokane River- North of the Spokane River adjacent to Greene Street between Jackson and Marietta Avenues, the City of Spokane is placing surplus fill material for future NSC construction.

SR904/Mullenix Road to Betz Road- Asphalt paving and sidewalk ADA improvements. Be alert for possible intermittent lane restrictions.

SPOKANE COUNTY
Craig Road Improvement Project, Medical Lake-Four Lakes Rd. to SR-902- Overlay of the existing asphalt. Road will be closed during paving operations, until approximately September 22.

Market Street, Houston to Lincoln- Installing curb, sidewalk, ramps, catch basins, drywells, swales, sewer pipe, repair and replace asphalt. Lane restrictions both directions, flaggers may be on scene to direct traffic.

SPOKANE CITY
Adams Street Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) 24 Project– This project will construct a 2.4 million gallon Combined Sewer Overflow Tank (CSO) tank and piping for our Cleaner River Faster Program. Here’s how it affects traffic and parking in the area:

  • Adams Street between 1st and Sprague Avenue is reduced to one lane on the east side of the road. There is no on street parking.
  • 1st Avenue is reduced to one lane eastbound in the furthest south lane. There is no on street parking from Cedar to just short of Jefferson Street.
  • Sprague Avenue is closed to all westbound traffic from Jefferson to Cedar. Eastbound traffic is permitted on Sprague Ave from Adams to Jefferson for local residents and KHQ employees only. No on street parking is permitted from Jefferson to Cedar Street.
  • Westbound Riverside is open to traffic and serves as the detour route for the Sprague Ave. closure.
  • Eastbound Riverside will remain closed from Cedar to Jefferson Street. Local access and parking is permitted via westbound Riverside.

Barnes Road from Strong Rd. to Phoebe St.- Strong Road from Rustle to Phoebe is closed to traffic. This project includes installation of a 12-inch water line, new pavement, curb, sidewalk and drainage facilities.

Crestline St. Lane Reduction, Euclid to Francis– Traffic is reduced to one lane each direction. This project will be completed in late fall and includes lane restriping and sign installations.

Division Street Gateway Project, 3rd Ave. to Spokane Falls Blvd.- The remaining work is focused on the intersections of 3rd Avenue and Division Street and Sprague Avenue and Division Street. This project includes electrical conduit replacement, stormwater updates, asphalt patching, curb and sidewalk replacement and landscaping.

Residential Grind and Overlay Work- – Crews are working on a grind and overlay project on Garfield Street between 29th and 25th Avenue. – Havana Street between Boone and Mission Avenue has started.

Street Arterial Crack Sealing- Haven, Market to Market

Street Maintenance Grind and Overlay Work- Grinding will resume from Division to Addison E/B, and paving will resume from Howard to Division on Garland/Empire.

I-07C and CSO 34-1 Control Facilities- I-07c work is to construct a 200,000 gallon Combined Sewer Overflow Tank and CSO 34-1 work is to construct a 1.5 million gallon CSO tank. These projects are part of the “It’s all about the River” program to keep our greatest asset, our river, clean. Riverside Avenue between Magnolia and Napa Street is closed.

Liberty Park Combined Sewer Overflow Tank 33-1Work continues with traffic impacts on 5th Ave. from Arthur to Perry and Denver and Celesta. This work is to construct a 2 million gallon Combined Sewer Overflow Tank that is part of the “It’s all about the River” program.

Regal-Bemis-Shaw Pedestrian Safety Improvements– Crews are working at Regal and Rich, Garland and Cook, Empire and Stone and then proceeding on Stone from Empire to Bridgeport. This project includes sidewalks, bumpouts, ADA curb ramps, storm drainage upgrades, pavement replacement and signage at specific locations.

Spokane Falls Boulevard Combined Sewer Overflow Tank (CSO 26) Project– Monday, September 11 through Wednesday, September 13 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. crews will be doing a water tap from southbound Monroe Street into the jobsite on Spokane Falls Boulevard. One lane southbound on Monroe St. will be open and northbound Monroe will be completely closed. The detour will be Main Street to Washington Street.

This project is part of the City’s efforts to get to a Cleaner River Faster. The tank will include a new public plaza with views of the lower falls of the Spokane River.

Sprague Ave., Helena St. to Stone St.- Work for this project includes a full street reconstruction, partial sidewalk replacement, bumpouts, landscaping, pedestrian lighting, and utility replacement. Ivory Street is one lane in each direction.

TJ Meenach Combined Sewer Overflow Tank, CSO O-03– This project will construct a 1.4 million gallon Combined Sewer Overflow Tank (CSO) tank and piping for our Cleaner River Faster Program. Construction on this CSO tank located to the east of TJ Meenach Drive, below Northwest Boulevard continues. Grace Avenue will be closed from Alberta to Cochran Street until December. TJ Meenach Drive is closed from Northwest Boulevard to Pettit Drive until approximately Friday, September 15.

Upriver Drive Combined Sewer Overflow Tank, CSO 41- Upriver Drive is now open from west of Freya to east of Rebecca.  Rebecca remains closed to from Upriver Drive to south of Ermina for work on the CSO Tank. A detour is in place for the Centennial Trail.

US 2 Paving, Francis Ave. to Division Wye- Crews will continue nighttime paving between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.; Be alert for nightly lane closures and sidewalk restrictions. Some daytime work will also cause lane restrictions; northbound lane restrictions between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. and southbound lane restrictions between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

North Spokane Corridor (NSC)- WSDOT closed Marietta Avenue from Ralph to Greene Street for North Spokane Corridor (NSC) work. The Marietta Avenue intersections at Ralph and Greene Street will not be affected.

Trent Ave. Paving, Mission Ave. to Sullivan Rd.- WSDOT is working on a paving project on Trent Avenue from Mission to Sullivan Road. Crews will be working night shifts from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

West Plains Chlorine Injection Station– Geiger Boulevard from Thomas Mallen to S Hayford is closed. This section of road is located in Spokane County. Work includes construction of a new chlorine injection station.
