Interstate 90 eastbound is closed at North Bend due to unstable slope conditions near Denny Creek. News reports this morning say a huge boulder rolled onto the road. I heard that a truck hit the boulder and the driver was injured, but have not been able to confirm that.
So far, the WSDOT does not have an estimated time when the freeway will be open again.
Can someone going to Spokane still travel by avoiding northbend area in this weather conditions? Is there any detour?
You can't avoid the North Bend area if you're travelling I90 to get to Spokane. You can if you use one of the other passes, but they may be worse in bad weather. This post was originally posted in 2009 though, so as far as I've heard today, there are no closures on I90.
