The Seattle Times did great piece on Secretary of Transportation Paula Hammond today. It highlights the fact that in just a few short months as secretary she has had to make a lot of tough decisions. She shut down some ferries, some highways due to flooding and mountain passes due to avalanche dangers. Still, she maintains a sense of humor through it all, as well as the respect of her piers.
