As the federally-designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for Spokane County, SRTC is responsible for distributing federal funds allocation to the our region.

SRTC regularly holds Calls for Projects for member agencies to distribute funds for transportation projects of all types: transit, new road construction, preservation and maintenance of existing roadways, bicycle and pedestrian projects, bridge projects, and more. 

Project funding decisions are made by the Board of Directors with guidance provided by the Transportation Technical Committee and Transportation Advisory Committee.
