May is Bike Everywhere Month in Spokane and there are several events coming up to celebrate this week and next:
- May 10, 6 PM – Latah Creek Trail Ride. Meet at Sandifur Bridge, Clarke & Riverside. Mixture of compact gravel and paved roads.
- May 11, Noon – Downtown Bike Lanes and Amenities. Meet at Gathering Place, next to Spokane City Hall. 1 hour ride
- May 13, 2:00 PM – Mothers Day Bike n Cookies Ride touring Southside parks Meet: Comstock Park, south end
- May 14-18, Bike to Work Week
- May 14, 7-9 AM, Pancake Breakfast in Riverfront Park, Spokane Falls Blvd & Post. Blueberry pancakes, Roast House coffee, live music and fellow cyclists to visit with.
- May 15, 7-9 AM Energizer Stations for morning cyclists. Please note on the map that SRTC will have a station wwaaayyyy out in the valley on the Appleway Trail all by ourselves, so please be sure to stop and see me. Map at: https://bit.ly/2qqyCzl
- May 15, 5:30 PM Women’s Ride /Flat-Fixing Clinic at REI Meet: Olmsted Park, Kendall Yards, Summit Parkway & Nettleton
- May 16, 6:00 PM Ride of Silence. Meet: Riverfront Park, Michael Anderson statue next to Opera House
- May 17, Noon – Preview Peaceful Valley/Kendall Yards bike loop Meet: Riverfront Park, Spokane Falls Blvd & Post
- May 17, 6:00 PM Ben Burr Trail/Iron Bridge Ride Meet: Lincoln Park on 17th
- May 18, 5-7:00 PM Pizza and Beer Party to celebrate National Bike Everywhere Day. Location: River City Brewing, S 121 Cedar. All cyclists welcome. Live music, door prizes.
- May 21, 6:00 PM Bike & Hike Southside Natural areas. Meet: Hazels Creek, entrance on 41st west from Freya.
